The Watch List: Jesse Idol

Jessie Idol

WHY JESSE IDOL IS AN ARTIST TO WATCH: Returning to civilian life Jesse Idol is able to focus his energy on his calling music after a couple years as a Navy officer. He has gotten his career off with a quick start by collaborating with Maino (Atlantic Records) and Billy Roadz along with performances in New Jersey clubs. Jesse's passion to reignite his music career choice is based on his experience as a former member of the Newark Boys Choir. He is humble, hungry, and ready for the world. Are you ready for what Idol has to offer?

Why I Love R&B..."I love R&B is simply because music has been runnin through my veins since I was a young boy... I love music period with all my being"

Favorite Local Venue..."Divas lounge in Montclair NJ"

Music Is My Calling..."Honestly...This is my life...I tried the military and went AWOL because I felt the need to do music...I have had countless jobs and quit them...Because it wasn't music...

"Favorite Hobby..."I would have to say skating...Cuz I love to skate"

Jaheim and Regina King....

It's hard for a male R&B singer these days, but Atlantic recording artist Jaheim has managed to quietly resurrect his career, after a three-year absence, with his new project, Another Round. He hadn't released an album since The Makings of a Man, back in ‘07, which could've been his death sentence in these "flavor of the month" times. Now, to bring even more and significant attention to his return, he's enlisted our favorite award-winning actress, Regina King, to both direct and star in his new video to the single, "Finding My Way Back." The video was shot in Los Angeles earlier this month and is set to debut this Friday, April 30, on Centric as part of its Top 20 Countdown show. "Back" is the second top 10 single off his new album, along with "Ain't Leavin' Without You."Regina should bring real star power to the promo tool, which will more than likely send the song to the top of the charts. Good move, Jaheim ... good move. The singer is expected to begin a nationwide tour this summer with fellow crooners Anthony Hamilton, Raheem Devaughn and Lyfe Jennings. –gerald radford
